I’m obsessed with these pieces by Candace Hicks.

Hi, Friend.

Last week paid Dear Lifers submitted questions for our first Q&A. I’ve loved reading all of them, and this week I’ve chosen a few to answer. Today’s questions have to do with the writing process, generating vs. revising work, and how to know when a poem is “done.” So we’re going to talk about taking a piece from initial spark through completion.

Next week keep an eye out for an annotation and a related craft tip. And I’ll be answering some more of your terrific questions, too.

Now let’s get to the A in Q&A.
