Hi, Friend.

When I was dreaming up this newsletter, I knew I wanted to build in some one-on-one conversations about writing (or whatever else you want to talk about). I love the Q&A portion at the end of a reading or craft talk. Actually, that might be my favorite part, whether I’m asking the questions or answering them. I always walk away inspired and energized, with plenty of new ideas to squirrel back to my own writing and teaching.

There are plenty of new subscribers here, and it’s been a while since our last Q&A for paid subscribers, so here we go!

I also want to reassure everyone that most of For Dear Life will always be free and accessible to all, and sharable with anyone, because that’s important to me. Some things will live behind a paywall, because, well, writing is work—it’s how I support my family. (Y’all, I’m about to have a driver here. And in two years, a college student. *slow blink*)

You can submit a question in the comments, and I’ll respond in upcoming paid-only posts. Ask me anything! Ask about craft or the creative process. Ask about specific poems or essays or books. Ask about publishing. Ask about music, or parenting, or vegetarianism, or what crystals I carry in my pockets on stressful days. I’m all yours.

Need some writing advice? I’m here for it.

Curious about something? Don’t be shy.
