Hi, Friend.

Today I’m answering a couple more questions that paid Dear Lifers have submitted for Q&A. Today’s questions have to do with various paths we can take as writers (to MFA or not to MFA?), the problem of imposter syndrome and the inner critic, and the ways life can feed art and vice versa. I’m loving these questions, so keep them coming!

The first question is from Amy, and I’m calling on some poets I especially admire to help me answer it.

Do you think there is a path to success in writing poetry and/or memoir without getting an MFA?
