"I believe in the power of the do-over." I love this. You've got a poem sparking there, I think. :)

Maggie,

I just pre-ordered your book and love its origin story. It occurred to me after reading what you wrote that sometime a traumatic death/life event or a slow death (Alzheimer's) can also take away or recede all the happy memories. Your honesty and words are always such a gift.

Congratulations and good luck with your book Maggie! Thank you so much for sharing about bedtime..your experience and methods. The illustration you shared is very beautiful. I really appreciated a list of children's books you shared recently- I selected three. I especially loved

'In Every Life,' by Marla. Frazee-so I had to keep that one for me, but gave two others to nephews and neices.

I wish I had something like this to read to my children when they were small. It would have been cozy and comforting for all of us! Also, love the illustrator! Such a cozy style.

Yes! At our house, too. I miss it now that my kids read on their own.

Oh, Maggie Smith! My signed copy of this book arrived. I read it aloud - I pretended a soft and cuddlesome three year old perched in my lap, and I read it aloud. Like “Good Night Moon,” this book will soothe the minds and hearts of little guys for years to come. You wrote a masterpiece, and I thank you, Maggie Smith. Brava!
