It’s awe-inspiring that kids live in a world we constantly try to revisit,

but can’t stay too long in,

or our bones become noodles 😋

I love this so much, and find the annotations super insightful. This is also one of the reasons I have a ton of notebooks sitting around the house (and one on me at all times...my wife's feelings about cargo shorts be damned 😝), but it's also one of the reasons I'll often record conversations with my kiddos just casually in the background. I use the Audio Memos Pro app on my Apple Watch so that I can literally just hit one button on the watch and it starts recording audio. It's not great quality, but it's enough to hear what was being said. Eventually, I download those recordings and upload them into Dropbox for safe keeping. I know one day I'll need to listen again to try to find those little nuggets of verbal gold, or simply to hear my growing kids being little again at least one more time.

I love this--just to capture their little voices, let alone what they say! Thanks, Scott.

Very welcome! I have a whole folder of recordings of Skylar (now 14) from when she was teeny tiny. It's like a wonderful tiny treasure trove.
