So helpful, thank you. I'm struggling with a poem's ending right now. Sometimes endings just come to me, not this time. It's good to be reminded to end with an image.
The ending is so easy to overwork--sometimes (most times!) less is more. Stan Plumly used to say “step quietly out.”
